About this fragrance
The top is smoky and spiced, with frankincense and elemi lifted by bergamot and sharpened by pepper and cardamom. The heart is earthy and complex: patchouli, anise, coriander and cumin meet saffron, while orange blossom, geranium and rose add a floral warmth. In the base, oud and birch lie under amber, vanilla and benzoin, with labdanum, resins, maltol, ambroxan and musk for depth.
Its character is layered and powerful, with resinous depth and exotic spices from start to finish. Rated at eight to ten hours and more, it is best for autumn and winter. Wear it to formal dinners, winter celebrations or a quiet evening by the fire, and apply sparingly: one or two sprays carry a long way.
