About this fragrance
The opening is dark and dry, incense curling around soft leather. As it warms, patchouli brings an earthy depth and myrrh a sweet, resinous note that ties the smoky start to the base. The drydown pairs cedarwood with davana, a dry woody tone lifted by a faintly fruity, wine-like edge.
Serious and composed, it is a scent for cold evenings, formal dinners and nights out rather than hot afternoons. Rated at six to eight hours, it suits autumn and winter best. Apply sparingly at first; one or two sprays reveal how it changes as the hours pass.
