About this fragrance
The opening is bright and slightly nutty, almond rounding out bergamot and mandarin orange, with water notes keeping it light. A layered heart follows: rose, gardenia and geranium beside water lily, with a faint animalic shadow of civet. The base is rich: Laotian oud, guaiac wood, patchouli and sandalwood, warmed by amber, vanilla and coffee and sharpened with pink pepper and oakmoss.
For all its complexity, the scent wears smoothly, moving from bright to warm and woody without any rough edges. It suits smart occasions and evenings out, and is versatile enough for the office when applied lightly. The vanilla and coffee in the drydown make it especially pleasant at dinner or a late gathering with friends.
