Midnight Oud

Bergamot brightens the start, with oregano and allspice adding a herbal, peppery edge. In the heart, amber, opoponax, incense and cistus build a resinous, smoky warmth. The base is oud and leather, rounded by patchouli and sandalwood, deep and steady on the skin.

Rated at ten to twelve hours, it is alcohol-free and wears close, so a small dab at the wrists or neck goes a long way. It suits every season and works by day as well as at night, from the office to a dinner out. The 10ml bottle is easy to carry in a pocket.
